Tommy’s Place is an eight-bed shelter in Ravenna designed to serve Portage County residents experiencing homelessness alongside mental health, substance use, or justice-involvement challenges. The project addresses a well-documented gap in temporary housing for individuals whose complex needs often prevent them from accessing traditional shelter options. Guests at Tommy’s Place will not only have access to safe temporary housing but will also be offered wraparound supports including mental health and substance use counseling, peer support, case management, and connections to Townhall II’s Medication-Assisted Treatment clinic and other community-based services.
