Dr. Dean DePerro oversees Medical Operations with a focus on helping clients heal and prosper.
Dean treats hypertension, diabetes and heart disease in his private practice.
Dean serves as Portage County Coroner. He is very aware of the consequences of opioid addiction and works hard to solve addiction problems in Portage County.

Stephanie graduated from Tiffin University with a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice and from Ohio University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work.

Mike writes, creates art and composes music in his spare time. His music is available for free listening on Bandcamp.

Chris oversees all operations with a focus on creating efficiencies in our buildings and facilities.
Chris is a lifelong Kent resident with a passion for sports and the outdoors. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the non-profit sector, serving both healthcare and education. With a BA in Business and Engineering, Chris excels at hands-on problem-solving.

Kevin Brosien

Kevin is an award-winning journalist, marketing and public relations executive having worked with Community Health Partners, Mercy Childrens’ Hospital, Moen, Lincoln Electric, Sherwin Williams and Kent State University. He is a passionate outdoorsman and you may hear him playing music with The Brown Brothers and as a solo artist.

Barb Folan maintains meeting minutes for the Board and Foundation as well as serving the agency as Admin Assistant to the CEO.
Barb coordinates agency events and enjoys helping staff solve problems. Her many years of experience with the organization is a valuable resource.

Tracy studied Public Health and Health Services Administration at Kent State University.
She specializes in client engagement, group coordination, scheduling management, detox referrals and data collection.

Valerie Browning, LPC
Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Valerie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who graduated from Malone University in 2021 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
She utilizes a trauma-informed counseling style that combines evidence-based practices from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT (Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) in her approach. She believes in providing a safe space for individuals to explore, feel and heal, and strives to treat all individuals with the greatest care, compassion, and dignity.
Her specialties include: trauma counseling and Victim Advocacy, grief, mood disorders, ADHD, co-occurring issues and dependency.
When not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, is an avid long-distance runner, and loves trying new foods.

Jennifer Fisher, LPCC-S
Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Jennifer Fisher is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with Supervision Designation (LPCC-S). She provides counseling for both adolescents and adults, using a trauma-informed approach that integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Her areas of clinical focus include grief, trauma, depression, mood disorders, anxiety, addiction and supporting individuals involved with the criminal justice system.
In her spare time Jennifer enjoys taking nature walks and attending cultural events.

Substance Abuse Counselor and Peer Support
Laura Gorman is a counselor and peer recovery supporter working with the jail population, providing psychoeducation through group counseling and individual counseling focused on substance use. Laura is a graduate of The University of Akron (2023), where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in studio art with a minor in addictions. She also graduated from Cuyahoga Community College in 2020 with an Associate of Arts and a certificate in the art therapy program.
Laura’s professional background includes experience in withdrawal management in Canton, Ohio, as well as work in an outpatient Medication‑Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinic in Barberton, Ohio. She brings a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approach to her work, supporting individuals through education, skill development and recovery‑focused counseling. Laura is committed to promoting stability, growth and positive change among justice‑involved individuals.

Kelly Horsfall is a counselor at our Ravenna office with more than 25 years of experience working in the mental health field. She has worked at numerous agencies in Portage and Summit counties over her career. In her down time, Kelly enjoys hiking, reading, movies, spending time with her daughter, Brooke, and relaxing with her dog, Remi.

Tina Puckett, M.Ed., LPC
Mental Health Counselor
Tina is trauma-informed, multiculturally-aware and person-centered. Her approach is integrative, collaborative, individualized, and uses evidence-based interventions. She has additional training in advanced contemporary grief counseling, disability, college student concerns, and thanatology to support clients. She works with adults of all ages and has been described as a calming presence.
Tina holds M.Ed. (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) and Ed.S. (Higher Education Administration and Student Affairs) degrees and graduate certificates (Disability Studies and Community Inclusion, Career and Academic Advising) from Kent State University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and Chi Sigma Iota (Counseling) Honor Society.

Kaitlyn has been with Townhall II Integrated Health Network for many years now. She likes being the first person our clients see when they walk in the doors at the Ravenna office. She also serves on the agency’s Sunshine Committee which upholds the mission of our Sanctuary Institute ethos while engaging employees in fun events every month. When not at work, she enjoys the outdoors and spending time with her four cats.
